Ease into the friendly, laid-back character of the Garden Island as you explore North and East, and South and West Kauai.
The North and East region covers everything north of Lihue and the airport, including the towns of Kapa'a, Princeville and Hanalei. This is an area where you could easily spend a full day discovering beaches and natural highlights such as the well-known Wailua Falls. At Kilauea Lighthouse, the island's northernmost point, you'll enjoy wide coastal views in an area that also serves as a refuge for birds and marine life.
In the South and West region, the route includes Waimea Canyon and the Kalalau Lookout, alongside beaches and creative local communities. You'll also drive beneath a tunnel of around 500 trees that are over 100 years old, before stopping at Spouting Horn, the island's most famous blowhole.
