Capitol Reef National Park features a striking landscape of layered rock formations, cliffs and narrow slot canyons shaped by erosion over time.
This audio tour follows a scenic 8‑mile (13 km) drive through the heart of the park. An alternative route along Grand Wash Road is also included, leading through a wide, steep‑sided canyon to the trailheads for Cassidy Arch and the Grand Wash Trail.
Along the way, you can see petroglyphs carved into sandstone cliffs by the communities who lived in the area centuries ago.
Capitol Reef stands out for its distinctive geology and the variety of ways visitors can experience its natural surroundings.
